EIS Technology
Capability Backed by Experience
Quality of Design

Products and services have always been the hallmark of Executive Information Services and will continue to serve as the operational basis supporting the overall company philosophy. Since introducing its Public Safety Software Suite for commercial sale, EIS has established an enviable record for effectiveness and customer satisfaction in the public safety software market.
The system application architecture was designed from the ground up to be flexible and has been specifically designed to be adaptable to local requirements and general industry trends. The major system components feature a distributed n-tier client architecture, incorporating a Presentation tier, Business Rule tier, and Application Messaging tier. This n-tier approach enhances the system's flexibility related to integration with external systems and information distribution. The architecture additionally enables cost-effective maintenance as operational processes change due to legislation or policy changes.
EIS products are developed under the Microsoft Development Suite and provide deployable products created in VB.NET/ASP.NET & MVC. Each component is specifically developed for optimum performance in its operational environment and may be available as a full client/Server application, browser-based module, or a combination of the two complementing technologies. All of the products are based on Microsoft® Windows and are designed to run on the standard networks deployed in most law enforcement agencies. System software may be installed stand-alone or as part of the comprehensive Public Safety Suite. Server components run on Windows Server 2012 & 2016. Client applications are either browser-based or designed to run on the Windows 7/8 & 10 Client operating system.
Fully Microsoft Development

The entire product base utilizes the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2014 & 2016 database, which complies with all open system industry standards. The product provides a comprehensive web-based reporting system powered by Microsoft SQL Server reporting services.
Development Platforms and Languages

The application software is developed utilizing the mainstream Microsoft Visual Studio development platform and is written in either VB.NET or ASP.NET/MVC, determined by the best development approach for the application. Legacy VisualBasic 6 code is being replaced with the newer .NET technologies.
System Messaging

PS.NET messaging components support a comprehensive set of communication and queuing capabilities. The messaging sub-system can utilize a variety of standard and proprietary communication protocols and queuing services. Internally the system relies on the Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) to manage much of the system communications. The guaranteed delivery aspect of MSMQ makes this a very reliable and robust approach to system-system communications.
XML

The XML Interface Server supports integration with third-party XML and Web Service providers and supports a standardized data exchange component allowing the agency to share data or integrate with other software products. The XML Interface Server provides a single point of interface into data provided from external jurisdictions. The system fully supports integration with the Global Justice XML schema (GJXML).
