Modern GIS Tools
EIS’s GIS Services are performed in the industry standard ESRI map development environment. EIS can convert from most any existing GIS data Source into standard ESRI map and shape files.
Data Analysis & Review Services
Agency provided GIS Map Data Review to determine the suitability of existing Agency map data.   A member of our GIS team will analyze your data to determine if the base data has been properly constructed to support the requirements for Public safety.   Our team will additionally check the existing data against commercial data to further evaluate the completed of the data.  EIS will provide a report detailing the findings of the analysis, and provide a set of specific recommendations to proceed.  Options will include accepting the “as is” data, supplemental data correction, or contract EIS to correct the data .  Once the map data has been prepared for use, EIS will provide the data for agency inspection.

GIS Data Conversion
Often available map data is not sufficient to support the needs of “Public Safety”.   Features such as non-segmented street definitions and non connected street lines cause havoc with the advanced geoCoding algorithm employed by the system.  If existing data doesn’t meet the requirements, EIS will convert the existing data from it’s current formats to standard ESRI’s shape file, or introduce external data sources to replace or supplement provided data to derive a usable GIS data set.
