| WEB Universal Client The MatriX Web Universal Client is a browser based application that provides a form based user interface for defined transactions for the connected remote systems. The Web Universal Client supports virtually any device with a standard WEB browser; including both standard laptop computers and hand-held PDA devices (Pocket PC). The advantage of the browser based client is that it requires no installed software on the connected device—virtually any device can be supported out of the box. This minimizes any installation and setup problems and also minimizes the support problems typically associated with computer software. Since all code resides on the central server, it is also possible to provide rapid updates and deployments when remote system interfaces change. |

The WEB Universal requires Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 6.0 on laptops and Pocket Internet Explorer on Pocket PC devices. If running an older browser, visit the Microsoft WEB site for a free upgrade. The device will also require a network or wireless connection to the Internet or other server running the host software. The client communicates to a central server that runs the supporting software. The central server provides the interconnection to the PS.NET/Matrix message switch that interconnects to various State or local law enforcement systems. Communications between the client and the host server is encrypted to meet DOJ requirements.
