| The E911 interface software operates on the CAS (CAD Application Server) and automatically recieves the incomming E911 data from the ANI/ALI controller and processes the incomming information. The interface component automatically atempts to GeoCode the address and passes the information to the call taker of dispatcher answering the call. The local telephone company or other E-9-1-1 service provider and the PS.NET/CAD Applications Server usually make this interface through an asynchronous communications link from the E-9-1-1 controller supplied. The E-9-1-1 controller usually has an optional configurable CAD Interface Module (CIM) for this interface. |
