PS.NET/CAD - Reporting
Data on Demand
    Management InformationSceen Shot Screen Shot
Data from the CAD system also provides key input to Department management.  PS.NET/CAD comes with extensive reporting capabilities.  These menu-driven reports and on-line query programs provide important workload, response time, and other data for management.  Reports can be run on-demand without impacting the CAD operation.

Management Information SystemSceen Shot Screen Shot
All incident and resource transactions in PS.NET/CAD are logged to a comprehensive historical database.  This information provides complete manpower allocation and other essential management information for department administrators.

This information is stored in a high performance SQL database and years of information can be stored on-line without degrading system performance.  This data is directly readable by hundreds of application programs, including most word processing and spreadsheet programs.  This allows departments to use their existing familiar in house PC software to do ad-hoc reporting or management analysis.

PS.NET/CAD is also supplied with a series of standard reports that provide the most used information.  These reports can be run on demand from any workstation on the network or be set to run automatically at pre-defined times.  Some of the standard reports include:
SEQUENTIAL CALL LOG
CASE NUMBER LOG
ALPHABETIC PERSONNEL FILE LISTING
OPERATOR ACTIVITY SUMMARY
ACTIVITY BY HOUR OF DAY
ACTIVITY BY TYPE
ACTIVITY BY TYPE BY REPORTING DISTRICT
RESPONSE TIME SUMMARY
RESPONSE TIME BY BEAT
RESPONSE TIME BY REPORTING DISTRICT
UNIT ACTIVITY SUMMARY
UNIT ACTIVITY BY OFFICER
BRIEFING LOG

Always Accessible Data PS.NET/CAD provides complete data collection on all operations and makes this call for services information available to line and management personnel.  Extensive standard reports are easy to run and can be distributed in a number of ways to participating agencies.  Data is retained on-line in a standard Microsoft SQL database that maintains years of history and activity information on-line and instantly available for both operations and management reporting, and fully supports multi-year comparisons and reporting.
Mail-Out Incident ReportsSceen Shot Screen Shot
A unique feature of PS.NET/CAD is the ability to capture complete information for selected incidents.  On minor incidents or incidents that do not absolutely require a police officer to respond, PS.NET/CAD can capture additional data elements required for report generation.  This data can then be automatically printed on a "mail out" report that can be sent to the reporting party.  Space on the multi-part report is provided for victim comments and data such as a stolen property list.  A copy of the report can then be returned to the Department for filing and input into records.

This feature has allowed some agencies to handle over thirty percent of their total calls for service without sending an officer to the scene.  This is a significant savings in manpower and money for these Departments while offering significantly improved services to the community.

WEB Based Reporting and Data AccessSceen Shot Screen Shot
The proposed CAD system supports remote access to call-for-service data via WEB based facilities.  This allows, for example, remote fire agencies to access their own call-for-service data, including run times, from any PC connected to the Internet.  It will also allow supervisors or other authorized personnel to access data from home or remote locations.

Access by remote users can be limited to their own agency, their own agency type (i.e. all fire events), or they can be given access to all events.

Users can inquire and get summaries of events within a given date/time range or get all details on a specific event.  This same facility can also be used to “export” data to remote fire or other reporting systems.

The remote access and reporting capability is browser based and requires no software on the remote workstations.  It does require an Internet or WAN connection to the server hosting the application. This may be via high speed DSL or even dial connections.
